Services: Financial services

Key NPCs: Ilia Kemble (female human banker)

Kemble Bank is a small financial institution offering basic savings and loan services to the people of Quickstone. Ilia Kemble saw a thriving community in Quickstone, yet one too small to draw the interest of House Kundarak. Kemble Bank has provided good service to the town, and helped many settlers find their footing. But now, House Kundarak is building its own enclave in Quickstone, right next door to the bank. Toln Kundarak has offered to buy the bank from Kemble, merging it with the enclave; so far Ilia has refused, but Kemble Bank can’t possibly compete with the services Kundarak will be able to provide.

Kemble Bank is a simple bank, with a small but solid vault equipped with an Arcane Lock. It has a set of safety deposit boxes, and offers small loans for sound investments. Ilia Kemble is a young entrepreneur and is always looking for new opportunities. Recently, she’s been working with the kobold community. Following a robbery, the kobolds have taken to assigning someone to watch over Kemble; there’s typically an alert kobold standing ready to protect Ilia from any threats.

Possible ties to the Kemble Bank:

  • Ilia Kemble has invested in something you’re involved in. Is it a land claim? Arcane research? An unusual business venture? Work with the DM to establish the terms of this arrangement.
  • You have a family heirloom stored in the vault at Kemble Bank. It may not have much resale value, but to you, it’s priceless. What is it?
  • Ilia is an old friend of yours. Perhaps you went to school together, or maybe your families have close ties. Whatever it is, you’d love to find a way to help her with the business.
